Many dog owners try the “Stop & Sit” method - unfortunately, this often fails! Making the dog sit and then continuing to walk usually only releases them back to pulling. It does not communicate to the dog that they should walk slower! And actually can become an endless behavior chain … 👎🏻 A better way is to reward by your side and turn around when the leash is tight.
