  1. Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, originally debuted in 1941 as part of More Fun Comics #73 from creators Mort Weisinger and Paul Norris. While Aquaman’s origin has been tweaked throughout the years, the basics of it are that Curry was the result of a romance between a lighthouse keeper and a denizen of Atlantis named Atlanna.
