Former President Jimmy Carter, who once banned the playing of “Hail to the Chief,” will be honored with three days of elaborate ceremonies in the nation’s capital.

Tuesday’s schedule includes a departure ceremony from the Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta; a departure ceremony from Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia; an arrival ceremony at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland; a funeral procession from the U.S. Navy Memorial to the U.S. Capitol; and an arrival ceremony and service at the U.S. Capitol.
