The Cleveland Browns are preparing to take on the AFC North rival Baltimore Ravens in Week 8 NFL action. Deshaun Watson will not be under center this week, as he will miss the rest of the season due to a torn Achilles.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns (1-6) season was all but over even before quarterback Deshaun Watson went down with a ruptured achilles tendon against the Bengals (3-4). The injury kind of summed up the Browns season so far. They have yet to score 20 points in a game and can’t get out of their own way, committing too many penalties and turnovers.

Watson ruptured his Achilles in Sunday’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. This ended his 2024 season and likely the Watson era in Cleveland at the same time. Second-year player Dorian Thompson-Robinson also left the game with a finger injury, and his status for this week is still up in the air.
