The U.S. Coast Guard is assisting the Royal Bahamas Defense Force in search and rescue efforts after a woman fell overboard from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

"Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas had a man overboard last night. A guest on board told Cruise Radio that Code Oscar was called out around 9.35 on Tuesday evening," Parker shared. The event happened on the ship's starboard side off the coast of Nassau, Bahamas as the ship was heading to perfect day at Coco Cay.

The Coast Guard told Scripps News the woman fell off the ship on Tuesday evening at approximately 9:40 p.m. The woman had been traveling on the Allure of the Seas ship, which departed from Miami on Monday for a Taylor Swift-themed voyage in honor of the pop star wrapping up a three-night Eras Tour stop in the city.
