The Egyptian health ministry says a bus crashed and overturned on a highway in northeastern Egypt, killing 12 people and injuring 33 others.

Seven students were hurt in the crash. Six of them went to UNC Hospital. As of Monday morning, all of them are home and recovering.

At least 12 university students were killed and 33 injured when the bus carrying them back to their residence overturned on Monday east of the Egyptian capital Cairo, the Health Ministry said in a statement.
