A woman currently working as a teacher in Woodland has been arrested after an investigation into alleged sexual misconduct in a previous county she worked in.

An English teacher at Woodland High School was arrested on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with a student in Monterey County.

The Monterey County Sheriff's Office said they arrested a current Northern California teacher for allegedly having sex with a student in Monterey County.

The Sheriff’s Office received a report of an underage male student at North Monterey County High School who had been involved in a sexual relationship with a teacher. Sheriff’s officials said the teacher suspected in the alleged sex misconduct was later identified as Yoneda.

A Woodland High School English teacher is in custody in Monterey County, accused of having a sexual relationship with an underage student there several years ago.
