Thomas Tuchel has two rules Man United players will have to follow if he replaces Erik ten Hag. The German has been without a job since leaving Bayern Munich.

Thomas Tuchel has already told Manchester United bosses in no uncertain terms of his desire to one day manage at Old Trafford. Tuchel is considered the favourite to succeed Erik ten Hag should United decide to sack the beleaguered Dutchman, and held talks with Sir Jim Ratcliffe in the summer but an agreement could not be reached.

The Dutchman, meanwhile, is under the impression that he retains the backing of United's hierarchy. At the end of last month, Erik ten Hag responded to questions around his immediate future following the club's humiliating 3-0 defeat to Tottenham.
