Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story co-creator Ryan Murphy told Variety that he could envision including a few follow-up episodes to his hit series. In the show, Lyle and Erik were portrayed by General Hospital alum Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch.

Monsters: The Lyle And Erik Menendez Story was released on Netflix as part of the 2024 TV schedule, and I had to admit—I was excited at first. I've always been very interested in this case, and I feel that it was good to bring it back up years later.

The Menendez brothers have been given a platform on Murphy's Netflix true-crime series, and they should be grateful. They've had the chance to be tried in the court of public opinion, before their case goes back to the real courts, and Murphy thinks it could possibly set them free:
