Insta360 has announced its new Ace Pro 2 action camera, an upgraded version of its GoPro Hero-series competitor. The compact camera now has a larger screen on the back that flips up 180 degrees for framing selfie videos, and it debuts at $399.99 — $50 cheaper than Insta360’s original Ace Pro.

The new Insta360 Ace Pro 2 action has launched after a week of build-up from Insta360, and the camera not only boasts a spec sheet which will have both GoPro and DJI worried – not least 8K video and a large sensor – but other subtle design improvements.

The second-generation Ace Pro comes to market less than a year after the inaugural entry with a host of upgrades, including a lens with wider coverage.

In a week DJI seem to have a lot of battles opening up, the company has still managed to make an FCC filing for 2ANDR-0QR0012024 – an Osmo 360 – if the Rumor sites and feeds are to be believed anyway!

DJI is reportedly preparing to enter the 360-degree action camera market with its own offering, the rumoured Osmo 360. DJI has had a bumper year so far, releasing one successful product after another, from the DJI Neo and the DJI Power 500 to the Amflow PL Pro and the recently announced Air 3S.
