King Charles III is to “pause” his cancer treatment, understood to be a weekly regimen, for 11 days as he undertakes his high-profile royal tour of Australia next week.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are heading on their first major overseas tour since announcing His Majesty was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February, with the couple heading on an 11-day trip to Australia and Samoa on Oct. 18.

King Charles has been receiving weekly cancer treatments since his February diagnosis, but he'll reportedly be taking a break from his regimen later this month.

King Charles will pause his cancer treatment during his high-profile tour to Australia next week. Royal doctors gave Charles, 75, permission to briefly halt the weekly cycle in order to fly around the world for his key visit which is followed by a state visit to Samoa.

King Charles III's stepson, Tom Parker Bowles, has described cancer as "a b******" but noted that the monarch is a "tough man" as he continues treatment following a diagnosis with the illness earlier this year.

The 75-year-old monarch, who is receiving weekly treatment, is set to embark on the long-distance trip alongside Queen Camilla from Friday, October 18, to Saturday, October 26.
