Charlamagne tha God is upset after his voice was used in one of Donald Trump‘s political ads. The spot uses Charlamagne’s quote out-of-context to make it appear like he opposes Kamala Harris’ attempt to fund surgical procedures for transgender prisoners,

The Breakfast Club personality and bestselling author has taken legal action, demanding that Trump immediately remove the portion of the ad that includes his voice. “Cease and desist been sent,” Charlamagne confirmed, addressing the controversy. He further criticized Trump, saying, “Since when does Trump care about what’s legal!?”

The ad used clips from a recent Breakfast Club episode in which Charlamagne admitted to taking issue with taxpayer-funded surgeries on transgender inmates.
