There are three areas for camping. Unreserved, Reserved - both in an open field outside of turns 1 and 2 - across Palm Drive. There is also the Geico Turn Two VIP RV lot which is inside the fencing of the speedway but outside of the track. We have camped there for years and enjoy it immensely.
How long does it usually take to get into the track on race day? Can it take hours like Pocono or Michigan? This is our first time to Homestead. Thanks!!!
At other tracks I put my bike in the back of my truck and park outside the track. This allows me to avoid getting stuck in the after race traffic. Is there parking lots out side of the track that you can recommend to avoid the massive traffic jam?

Haven't been there for a race but there are a tin of parking lots all around the track. Only a couple ways out to get to the Freeway, so there will be traffic I suspect but looks like they have everything in place to make it move smoothly, like they did for the July 4th fireworks. Sure not as many people but still the flow was good.
