Basking Shark Scotland offer high adventure, low impact, eco-conscious tours run by our fantastic team of marine biologists. Come visit the biggest basking shark hotspot in the world and spend time with these gentle giants in the abundant waters of the Inner Hebrides. In addition to shark tours we run guided wildlife experiences and boat tours, scuba diving, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and many other adventures.

Bring all food for the day and water. Clothing wise I’d suggest layers. Bring clothes for warm weather in August but also possibly to get wet from rain or waves when the boat is …

Bring all food for the day and water. Clothing wise I’d suggest layers. Bring clothes for warm weather in August but also possibly to get wet from rain or waves when the boat is moving. I’d suggest a raincoat, some thick layers which you can take off if the weather is good. Make sure you take a hat and sunglasses and sun cream too! Shoes wise something you don’t mind getting a bit damp, good soles. I’d take a towel if you are going snorkelling too.

The basking sharks migrate and as far as I understand, you wouldn’t see any in November.

Generally we'll start at the beginning of April , but can run trips earlier if enough numbers. Best to email us (I don't think we can post our email here) so get us through the website. Thanks
