The lychee varieties i have planted are: Kwai mi pink (also called Bosworth 3), Kaimana, Salathiel, Wai Chee, Groff, Kwai Mi, Emperor, Bengal, Ohia, Yellow Red, Hanging Green, No Mai Tze, Amboina, and Sweetheart. Of these i've only tasted B3, Kaimana, Groff, Kwai Mi, Emperor, and Bengal.

WEBMay 13, 2022 · I've tasted Mauritius and Brewster many times and my personal preference is Brewster because of the smell and wonderful Lychee/rose flavor and sweet sweet flesh. Mauritius is also a great fruit but slightly less sweet and lacks the smell and Lychee/rose taste. Also, when picked less than fully ripe, there is a tart component.

About 30-40% of the fruit had a chicken seed or a very small seed. 40-45% of the fruit had the standard large seed. The remainder were somewhere inbetween with a medium seed.

Pebbly looking peel characteristic of this variety. Noumichi next to some frozen Kaimana. Brix for the Noumichi averaged around 15% with a high of 15.6%.
