WEBFeb 12, 2014 · In the wild, Acros don't seem to be killed off from AEFW because they are healthy enough to regenerate tissue mass lost at a reasonably rapid rate. AEFW can be managed and eventually eradicated in a captive environment by simply increasing the corals ability to produce it's natural slime coat, immune system, and over all health.

WEBSep 23, 2013 · The only time you should be dipping coral is before introducing them to your tank to kill off any pests of if you are dipping as part of a treatment (for example AEFW). Again, dipping is VERY hard on corals and they take a while to recover from this - dipping for no reason is stupid and is just hurting your coral.

WEBJan 15, 2014 · AEFW is an absolute nightmare to deal with and if you do not dip, you WILL get AEFW. Even if you dip, you can still get AEFW. I got AEFW and I dip everything I get very, very aggressively with RPS All Out. Not a single coral went into my tank (including deepwater acros) without a 15 minute full-strength dip and stil AEFW got through.

Since your water parameters are stable and everything in the tank is doing well, hang on for the ride. If you do suspect AEFW it may be wise to dip the frag again than infect your tank …
